A Black Moor is a popular, velvet-black variety of fancy goldfish known for its large, protruding "telescopic" eyes, deep body, and flowing double tail, making it a peaceful but messy aquarium fish needing large tanks, powerful filtration, and tankmates of similar slow-moving types due to its poor vision. They can live 10-20 years with proper care, often starting black but sometimes developing bronze or orange patches as they age.
